BUA Performance was founded by Declan Morgan. Declan is a native of Tullylish, County Down.
Declan has a degree in Information Management and a PGCE from Queen’s University, Belfast. He has also completed a BSc in Sports Coaching from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown.
Declan has 20 years of experience as a PE Teacher in Saint Patrick’s Grammar School, Downpatrick, across KS3, GCSE and A Level. He has extensive knowledge of coaching methods, good practice, learning styles and delivery.
In addition to academic qualifications, Declan is a fully qualified GAA coach with Foundation Level 1 and 2 courses completed. Declan has also completed UK Athletics Coaching Assistant and Lead Coach awards.
Declan has been coaching football teams since 2000 and has extensive experience at a variety of levels and age groups. Declan is the current coach of the Down Senior Football team, working at elite level with inter county footballers.
